Year and Studies: going into my 4th year of majoring in Political Studies with a minor in History.
Specialities: Besides full proficiency in all online learning technologies (Moodle, Ensemble for video, Perusall for interactive reading, Teams for group work), I am eager to provide my input on the transition of moving course content online, online formative assessment strategies and how my experience as a student, augmented with the online technologies at our disposal, can build a course with similar or better learning objectives as in-person teaching.
Favourite Course(s) at Bishop's: Politics & Religion by Dr. Miller, Transatlantic Slave Trade until 1867 by Dr. Barker.
Favourite Movie/Play/Book/Song:
Movie: Capote (in fond memory of Philip Seymour Hoffman)
Song: Sinnerman (Nina Simone)
Book (for public policy nerds): Implementation: How Great Expectations in Washington Are Dashed in Oakland; Or, Why It's Amazing that Federal Programs Work at All, This Being a Saga of the Economic Development Administration as Told by Two Sympathetic Observers Who Seek to Build Morals on a Foundation (by Pressman and Wildavsky).
